I read somewhere the theory that Amethyst was part of mass produced gems that were made to regenerate faster in order to be more powerful in combat. I wonder if it´s true...

I think it was stated by Pearl in "On the Run" that the Kindergarten where Amethyst came from was 'a mistake' of the Gem civil war. Combine that with Jasper's specific insult towards Amethyst, 'an overcooked runt,' and also the fact that in terms of geology, jaspers and amethysts are closely related to each other... Yeah, it's looking pretty likely that Amethyst was made specifically for combat.... :(

I also wonder if gems are unique, like, if there´s only one of each gem or if there were several amethysts that were destroyed in the war.
